Oh Ali! If only I had no fear that...

This hadith shows the extraordinary rank of Imam Ali (عليه السلام), such that people would have sought blessings even from the dust under his feet. The Prophet ﷺ, however, withheld openly declaring this level of praise, fearing people might exaggerate and elevate Ali as Christians did with Jesus (عليه السلام).
