Prophetic Hadith: The Seven Commandments of Allah

The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
"أَوْصَانِي رَبِّي بِسَبْعٍ:":
My Lord has commanded me with seven things:
- To be sincere — both in secret and in public.
- To forgive those who oppress me.
- To give to the one who deprives me.
- To maintain ties with those who sever relations with me.
- That my speech should be full of remembrance (of God).
- That my silence should be for reflection.
- That my gaze should be a source of learning and contemplation.
The Seventh Commandment: The Tongue — Always in the Remembrance of God
"And that my speech should be a remembrance."
That every word I utter should include the remembrance of Allah.
Message:
Whenever words come from the tongue, they should be in remembrance of God, promote goodness, or lead to reform.
Keeping the tongue pure from idle talk and backbiting is a hallmark of a true believer.
"And remember Allah much, that you may succeed."
(Surah Al-Anfal: 45)
