Oh Ali! If only I had no fear that...

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
«O Ali! If I had not feared that a group of my nation would adopt the same belief about you as the Christians do about Jesus the son of Mary, I would have said about you today that whenever you passed by a gathering or gathering, people would pick up the dust from under your feet as a sign of blessing and healing.

👉 This hadith indicates the unparalleled position and dignity of Imam Ali (a.s.), but at the same time it explains that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) limited his speech due to the fear of being declared a god.
