True Awaiting Of The Imam (a.s.): Faith, Knowledge, and Justice

Connected to the previous one.

The second example is that according to a tradition, the people of Kufa had written eighteen thousand letters to Imam Hussain (a.s.) and called him for guidance, saying that we are without an Imam, you have come for our guidance, and if you do not come, then on the Day of Judgment we will seize you and complain that we were seeking guidance but you did not come. So, until Imam Hussain (a.s.) arrived, they were eagerly waiting for him, but when Imam Hussain (a.s.) sent Muslim ibn Aqeel as his representative among them, those same people became his enemies. Out of fear for their lives and greed for worldly wealth, the people left Muslim and joined the accursed Ibn Ziyad and martyred Muslim mercilessly. However, some people remained true to their faith, but some of them were martyred, and a large number were imprisoned, and they could not help Imam (a.s.) even if they wanted to. These two examples are such that we should learn a lesson from them.

These examples are warning us that those who are waiting for their Imam of the time and those who pray for the appearance of Imam (a.s.) should not be so that when Imam (a.s.) comes, these waiting people do not become opponents of their Imam (a.s.). There are more than two hundred hadiths in this regard in which Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.) has said that when my son appears, the first war will be neither with the infidels nor with the polytheists, but with those who love him and those who are waiting for him. The first sword of Imam (a.s.) will be on the neck of the believer because when Imam (a.s.) enforces justice, many loving believers will not accept the justice of Imam (a.s.) because the justice of Imam (a.s.) will be against their will.

There will be many people who will have a debt to someone, for example, a brother may have usurped his brother, someone may have snatched the right of a neighbor, someone may not have paid the rights of parents, a husband may not have paid the rights of his wife, a wife may have violated the rights of her husband, there will be many such issues and when Imam (a.s.) If you decide with justice, those people will become opponents of Imam (a.s.) against whom the decision will be made, even if they are relatives of Imam (a.s.). The incident of Imam (a.s.) is very famous that when his real brother, Mr. Aqeel (a.s.) requested him that the allowance we receive from the treasury is not sufficient for our family, please increase our allowance, then the master said that you get as much as you are entitled to, now you cannot get anything more from the treasury, however, I can do this much that I can help you with some of my expenses.

Mr. Aqeel said that I do not want help from you, please increase my allowance. Then Imam (a.s.) ordered an iron, heated it in fire and started to place it on Mr. Aqeel's hand. Mr. Aqeel stepped back in fear and said that as a brother, you are letting your brother burn. He replied that you cannot bear the fire of this world and want to burn me in the fire of hell. From this incident, we must make sure that none of our actions will be the cause of Imam (a.s.)'s displeasure. And when we have the verses of the Quran and the hadiths of the Infallibles (a.s.), we should consider how it will be that after the appearance of the Imam (a.s.), whom we love and whom we are waiting for so intensely, we will become opposed to him, God willing. Two reasons for this are quite clear. One is the lack of religious knowledge, because without religious knowledge, knowledge cannot be attained. Millions of treasures and power, but without the knowledge of the Imam of the Age, everything is useless. And in order to attain knowledge, it is necessary to acquire religious knowledge. So hasn't the time come for us to reflect and seek refuge from the evil of the ruling Satan who wants to keep us away from our proof? Satan wants us not to be able to attain knowledge of our Imam because he knows very well that we love our Imam (a.s.) very much. Just as he misled the Jews and persuaded them to oppose the Prophet of Islam, he also tried to deceive the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) by using the Prophet's words to deceive the Jews and persuaded them to oppose him. He had done the opposite, similarly he is trying to mislead the lovers of Imam of the Time (AS) and distance them from their Imam of the Time and this is possible only when the followers of Imam (AS) distance themselves from religious knowledge...
